The announced date: October 27, 2026
The developer announced October 27, 2026 as the Early Access date on July 15, 2026. A developer-tagged, pinned post in the Steam discussions confirms it. The official release date trailer, published by IGN the same day, accompanied the announcement. Gematsu reported the same date for the PC launch.
The date has held since then. Coverage of the October demo, including FullCleared, repeats October 27 as the Early Access launch. The Steam store listing labels the date as planned Early Access. Several independent places agree on the same day.
It is an Early Access date
October 27 is when Emberville enters Early Access, not when it is finished. The developer describes Early Access as an evolving release. It launches with the first major biome and as a single-player game. More content arrives over time.
That matters when you set expectations. Buying on October 27 means joining development in progress. Features like co-op are planned for later. Our Early Access page lists what is included now and what is planned.
No verified 1.0 date
There is no announced calendar date for the full 1.0 release. The Steam store’s Early Access section estimates roughly 18 months, subject to development changes. That is an estimate of duration, not a promised end date. Adding it to October 27 would create a date the developer has not given.
We do not publish a calculated 1.0 date for that reason. Plans can change during Early Access. When the developer announces a 1.0 date, it will appear in the official news feed. We will add it here then.
No confirmed unlock hour
The cited sources do not establish the exact hour Emberville unlocks on October 27. Store countdowns can be read in different ways depending on time zone. Converting one into a precise launch time would be a guess. We have not found an official time to quote.
The practical approach is to check the Steam page on the day. If the developer posts a launch time, it will most likely appear in the official news feed. Following the Discord or Steam discussions is another way to catch it. We will update this page if an official hour is announced.
Platform: Windows PC on Steam
The October 27 date applies to the PC version on Steam. The Steam store lists Windows as the platform. Gematsu’s release report identifies PC storefronts as well. No console version launches on that date.
Console versions are part of the plan for 1.0, according to the developer’s FAQ. No specific console, such as PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch, has been named. The PC date should not be applied to any console. Our platform pages cover each console question separately.
What you can play before launch
A free public demo of the prologue was announced for October 19 to 26, 2026, during Steam Next Fest. It ends the day before Early Access begins. The developer gives about 90 minutes as the average completion time. It is the easiest way to try the game before the release date.
Progress from the public demo is set to carry into Early Access. Saves from the earlier Creator & Press Preview do not. So playing the demo now gives you a head start on October 27. Our demo pages cover download, length and save transfer.
Price at launch
The developer’s October FAQ announces a price of $29.99 USD. During a 10% launch offer, it is $26.99 USD. Regional prices may differ from these US amounts. The end date of the launch offer was not verified.
The Steam store describes a one-time purchase rather than microtransactions. Check the store page on release day for the price in your region. Our price page explains the details and limits of the announced numbers. Buying through the official store is the safe route.

What launches on October 27
According to the developer’s October FAQ, Early Access launches with the first major biome. It is single-player at launch, with nine launch languages. Core systems include combat, changeable classes, skill inheritance, gathering and crafting. The Steam page frames it around rescuing survivors and restoring Emberville.
Co-op and console versions are planned for 1.0 rather than launch day. So October 27 is the start of the journey rather than the complete package. Our Early Access page compares what is included now with what is planned. It is worth reading before you buy.
Preparing for launch day
If you played the public demo, keep your save so it can carry over. Make sure Steam is updated and that you have enough disk space. Check the developer’s news feed on the day for any launch notes. Those simple steps avoid most launch-day surprises.
If you have not tried the game yet, the demo window was announced to end on October 26. Playing it before then gives you a head start. Our demo pages explain download, length and save transfer. Our beginner guide covers what to learn first.
Release date versus demo dates
The public demo and the Early Access launch are close together but different. The demo was announced for October 19–26, 2026, during Steam Next Fest. Early Access follows on October 27. The demo is free, while Early Access is a paid release.
Because demo progress carries over, the two dates work as one path. Playing the demo before October 27 gives you a head start. Saves from the earlier Creator & Press Preview do not transfer. Our save transfer page explains the difference.
Where to watch for changes
Release plans can shift, especially for an Early Access game. The developer’s news feed on Steam is the primary source for official updates. The pinned developer post in the Steam discussions is another reference point. Wishlisting the game on Steam also brings launch notifications.
The official Discord, YouTube channel and Reddit community are good places to follow announcements. If something changes, we will update this page and its date stamp. If you spot an official change before we do, our contact page is the quickest way to tell us. Please include the source link.
