Two different games, two different studios
Dimraeth is developed and published by Mudtek, according to its Steam store page. Emberville is developed and published by Cygnus Cross. We found no source linking the two studios. They are simply similar games released around the same time.
Key-price sites and store pages often show them together under games-like lists. That is likely why people searching for Emberville also search for Dimraeth. Neither is a sequel, spin-off or rename of the other.
What Dimraeth is
The Steam page describes Dimraeth as a 1-8 player fantasy RPG set in a handcrafted pixel world. It combines Souls-lite combat, character progression, crafting and base building. Players explore the world alone or with friends online.
When checked on October 25, 2026, the store listed Windows system requirements only. No console version appeared on the page. Details can change, so check the store listing for the current state.
What Emberville is
Emberville is a dark-fantasy action RPG with town building and farming. You restore a town and fight through dangerous areas beneath it, building a class as you go. Previews compare it to Stardew Valley, Terraria and Core Keeper.
It enters Steam Early Access on October 27, 2026, for Windows PC. It launches with the first major biome. Our beginner guide and class pages explain how the early game plays.
Multiplayer: the biggest difference
Dimraeth’s store page lists single-player and online co-op for up to eight players. Emberville is single-player at Early Access launch. The developer has said co-op is planned, but it is not part of the October 27 release.
If you mainly want to play with a group right away, that matters. If you prefer a solo experience with a strong town-building loop, Emberville fits. Our co-op page tracks what the Emberville developer has said about multiplayer.
Early Access timing and price
The Dimraeth Steam page listed an Early Access date of September 15, 2026, and a price of $21.99 when checked, with a note that the price will rise during Early Access. Some third-party sites list different dates. The store page is the source to trust.
Emberville’s Early Access starts October 27, 2026. For its price and regional pricing, see our price page. Both games are Early Access titles, so content and prices may change over time.
Quick comparison
These are the main differences based on the store pages and official posts we checked.
- Studio: Dimraeth by Mudtek; Emberville by Cygnus Cross.
- Players: Dimraeth 1-8 online co-op; Emberville single-player at launch.
- Early Access: Dimraeth listed September 15, 2026; Emberville October 27, 2026.
- Focus: Dimraeth leans on Souls-lite combat and base building; Emberville on town restoration, farming and classes.
- Platform: both list Windows PC on Steam.
Which one should you pick?
There is no reason you cannot enjoy both. If you have friends ready to play together now, Dimraeth’s co-op support is the stronger draw. If you want a single-player town-building RPG with a large voice cast, Emberville is the better match.
Emberville also had a free public demo in October, with progress set to carry over to Early Access. Trying the demo is the easiest way to decide. Our demo page explains how to get it.
About this page

Store details were checked on October 25, 2026. If either game changes its dates, price or features, the official store page will be updated first. We will revise this comparison when that happens.
