What is confirmed about consoles
The only confirmed platform is Windows PC through Steam. The developer’s October 19, 2026 Early Access FAQ lists console versions among the plans for 1.0. That is a general plan for the full release, not an announcement for a particular machine.
No console store listing, console price or console release window appears in the official sources we collected. Gematsu’s release report also describes a PC launch. So the accurate answer today is “planned, but not announced”.
Which consoles have been named?
None. The FAQ speaks about consoles in general terms. In a September 25, 2026 developer-tagged reply in the Steam discussions, the developer said other platforms would be considered for 1.0. Considering a platform is not the same as committing to it.
That means Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 are all unconfirmed. Our platform pages explain the specific confusion behind each one, such as PlayStation controller icons on the Steam page.
When could console versions arrive?
Console plans are tied to 1.0, and 1.0 has no announced date. The Steam store estimates roughly 18 months of Early Access, subject to change. That estimate describes Early Access, not a console launch.
We do not turn that estimate into a console date. Ports can be announced earlier or later than a full release, and plans change during development. The developer’s Steam news feed is where a real date would appear first.
Why PC comes first
Early Access lets the developer change systems based on player feedback. The October 26 delay announcement is an example: bow combat and other systems are being reworked after Steam Next Fest. That kind of iteration is far easier on one PC build than across several console certifications.
Shipping on consoles usually comes once the game is more stable. That fits a plan where PC Early Access comes first and console versions are aimed at 1.0.
How to play without a gaming PC
If you want handheld or couch play now, Steam Deck is the closest option, because it runs the Steam version. Valve has not published a Deck Verified rating that we could confirm, so check community reports first. Our Steam Deck page collects what players have reported from the demo.
A controller also works with the PC version, according to the Steam store’s controller support listing. That gives a console-like experience on a PC connected to a TV.
How to spot a fake console announcement
A real console announcement usually comes with details you can check. Look for these before believing a rumor or a store-looking screenshot.
- A developer or publisher post that names the console.
- A store page on PlayStation Store, Xbox Store or Nintendo eShop.
- A release date or window for that console.
- A console trailer published on an official channel.
Quick summary

- Early Access: January 7, 2027.
